Model Continuation High School 2015
Model Continuation School for the State of California
[May 1, 2015 - Burlingame, Calif.] -- According to Tom Torlakson, State Superintendent of Public Instruction, Renaissance High School was recognized for providing innovative programs and comprehensive services to students through the use of exemplary instructional strategies, flexible scheduling, and guidance and counseling services who may have otherwise been at risk of not graduating.
"These outstanding schools provide teaching approaches that better serve their students and give them every chance to flourish," Torlakson said. "Our goal is to ensure that every student receives a high-quality education and, upon graduation, that every student has a plan for the future and the skills necessary to succeed."
Currently there are 480 continuation high schools in the State of California; this honor places Renaissance High School in the top 5% of the State’s continuation schools.
